DK was founded with the premise of providing security services that would exceed the traditional expectations of the private security industry and truly enhance the industry as a whole.

History of DK Security

DuHadway, Kendall & Associates, doing business as DK Security, was founded in 1994 by John R. Kendall, retired U.S. Marshal and Robert C. DuHadway, retired FBI Supervisory Agent.  Mr. Kendall and Mr. DuHadway each retired from extensive law enforcement careers in 1993 and soon created one of the fastest growing security companies in the country and only full-service security company in west Michigan.  With a combined list of unmatched credentials and an extensive network of trusted colleagues and associates, DK Security soon found its place in the private security and investigative industry.   We consult with a worldwide network of investigators, security experts and information specialists allowing DK to provide services locally, nationally or worldwide.  Since its inception, DK has grown to over $7 million in gross revenue, offers a variety of services and employs over 550 employees.  We are licensed to provide investigative and security services in the states of Michigan, Ohio, and Arizona.  Our headquarters facility is located in suburban Grand Rapids, Michigan.

DK is a full-service security company offering a variety of security related services.  We began in 1994 offering uniform security and investigative services throughout western Michigan.  After developing trusted relationships with our clientele, we soon realized that our clients were looking to us with additional security related needs and questions.  We then began to expand, with the primary goal of becoming a comprehensive security resource for our clientele.  We have since been providing  the following services:  event security / crowd management, K-9 detection, retail loss investigations and undercover detectives, executive protection, pre-employment screening, a DK owned anonymous tip line for client use entitled HonorLine, crisis management planning, and security audits.  In addition, we employ and contract with highly skilled professionals who possess years of experience and extensive training in specialties such as forensic accounting, forensic psychology, asset tracing, electronic countermeasures, fraud examination, security services, undercover investigations, surveillance and security technology.   After years of experience, we have fortunately become tightly woven with the top companies who provide access control, CCTV and IT security, making for a team of experts from varying fields and working together to meet all of your security needs.
