All prospective DK employees are screened in a variety of pre-employment processes in compliance with the Michigan Public Act 330 of 1968. These employment screening measures include a five panel drug test, psychological evaluation, background check, and fingerprinting.
Criminal Record: The comprehensive background screening identifies individuals who have committed federal or state felonies, misdemeanors in one’s county of residence, motor vehicle violations and social security number verification. Fingerprints are sent to the Michigan Department of State Police and the FBI to verify that there are no outstanding warrants.
DK will replace any employee immediately upon notification by the Michigan State Police Private Security & Investigative Section that a criminal history exists disqualifying the employee from employment based on the requirements of Act 330 PA 1968. Such employee will be terminated from DK.
Drug Screening: DK will certify to its clientele that all officers have successfully passed the urine drug screening. All DK employees are screened using a five panel immunoassay (EMIT) test. Each specimen is assayed for the presence of the following compounds at the detection levels indicated.

Psychological Screening: DK is committed to providing high quality security personnel to our clientele and ensuring the safety and well being of all individuals, equipment, and areas involved. This commitment is demonstrated in part by the extensive time and effort placed in the development and implementation of DK’s psychological pre-employment screening program. This specially tailored program for security officer positions is designed to identify individuals exhibiting personality attributes that may contribute to unsafe, irresponsible or ineffective workplace behavior. The program is implemented by doctoral level licensed psychologists and utilizes valid and reliable psychological test instruments designed to measure personality traits and intellectual abilities. Emotionally unstable individuals with the mentioned pre-existing conditions are more likely to behave erratically or unpredictably when placed in demanding, high pressure situations. Therefore, DK places extensive emphasis on the early identification of such individuals during the pre-employment screening process, ensuring the careful selection and hiring of high quality security personnel. |
