Robert C. DuHadway, Chairman
In 1969, Robert DuHadway began a twenty-five year career of progressive service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His first assignment as a special agent was in Jackson, Mississippi, where he conducted investigations of civil rights, extortion, kidnapping, bank robbery and other federal violations. He earned increasing responsibility with the FBI, culminating in his appointment as Agent in Charge of the FBI office in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he served for nearly 10 years.
Mr. DuHadway has received advanced training in FBI specialties such as drug enforcement, hostage negotiation, criminal investigation, white-collar crime, media relations, crisis intervention and organized crime. He is also a certified hostage negotiator and a certified fraud examiner.
A native of southern Illinois, he earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Eastern Illinois University. He is also a United States Air Force Veteran.

John R. Kendall, President
John Kendall's distinguished career in law enforcement spans 32 years, including 13 years as the U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Michigan. He was appointed by Presidents Reagan and Bush to three 4-year terms as U.S. Marshal and also held positions as an undersheriff, chief of police detective and police supervisor in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Kendall is an experienced labor negotiator and contract manager and has developed security systems for several high-risk government facilities and corporations. He has managed executive protection operations for federal judges, Supreme Court justices, cabinet officials, foreign dignitaries and celebrities.
He has a B.S. degree in Police Administration and a M.P.A. in Public Administration. He is also a founding member of FedSec, a national organization of former U.S. Marshals who offer individuals, private industry, state and local governments the experience and expertise formerly available only to the federal government.

Kathryn A. Kendall, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer, Senior Vice President
Dr. Kathryn Kendall is responsible for overseeing all operational divisions within DK including uniform security, event management, investigations, armed executive protection, K-9, and Loss Prevention. Additionally, she is responsible for business development, sales, marketing and psychological operations. She is a clinical and forensic psychologist and provides forensic psychological services and outpatient psychotherapy and assessment services to adults and children. She began working for DK in 1996 as a crowd control employee while completing graduate school and has since worked as a uniformed guard, psychological consultant and staff psychologist for DK.
Dr. Kendall's professional history includes providing clinical and assessment services for California State University’s learning disability department, providing clinical services to juvenile criminals in Long Beach, CA and working as a foster care social worker in inner-city L.A. She worked two years in private practice in Traverse City at Old Town Psychological Services before relocating to Grand Rapids in September, 2004.
Dr. Kendall specializes in Scientific Content Analysis, PTSD, ADHD evaluations, depression, anxiety, disability evaluations and various forensic services including child custody evaluations.

Terry Reese, CMA, CFM , Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President
Terry Reese’s career in accounting and operations management spans 14 years, including 12 years in the customer services, financial sales, and retail sales divisions of NCR where he served in a variety of sales support, supervisory and financial planning and accounting roles.
In his capacity as chief financial officer he is responsible for all accounting, treasury and financial planning activities for DK, ensuring fiscal responsibility and a constant focus on customer service.
He has a B.A. in accounting, has passed the CPA exam, and is a certified management accountant and certified financial manager. He also holds six sigma black belt certification.

Sindia Narber, Vice President of Administration
Ms. Sindia Narber has been employed by DK since 2003 and has worked in the field of Human Resources Management for over 15 years. Ms. Narber provides key management support and oversees all administrative responsibilities of the company. She is bi-lingual and a member of the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Society for Human Resource Management. She oversees DK’s hiring and recruiting practices and is fully knowledgeable of the hiring needs specific to the contracted security industry. |

Steve Pekrul, Vice President of Operations
Mr. Steve Pekrul is responsible for the management of uniform security, event management and armed /executive protection divisions of DK. Mr. Pekrul has been employed with DK since 2005 and joined us after 23 years of experience in the U.S. Marshal Service as a Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal. He specializes in building security, executive and witness protection, threat assessment, criminal investigations and surveillance. He earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Eastern Michigan University.

Joe Budnik, Director of Security Operations
Mr. Joe Budnik has been employed with DK since 2001. Mr. Budnik earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a specialization in private security. Mr. Budnik is responsible for overseeing all day to day operations within the uniform security and executive protection divisions. He has worked in the capacity within DK as an executive protection officer, investigator, armed and unarmed security officer, canine handler, and security auditor. He is a graduate of the Blackwater Executive Protection School and certified in Tribal Relations, PPCT, PerkinElmkin Linescan, MCOLES, CCW, Civilian Pistol Safety, and Drug Beat Narcotic K-9. Mr. Budnik is certified in Campus Crime Prevention through the Bureau of Justice Assistance and the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Budnik is also certified through the National Domestic Preparedness Coalition and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Operational Value of Threat, Risk and Vulnerability Assessments. Mr. Budnik is a member of ASIS and the Homeland Security Task Force. He has attended Explosives Recognition and Hostile and Pre-Operational Surveillance training.

Tracy Barnum, Senior Operations Manager, Uniform Security
Ms. Tracy Barnum has been employed with DK since 2005. Ms. Barnum began her career at DK as a uniform security supervisor and has since taken on the role of a store detective, sales representative, and investigator. She earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Ferris State University and is a graduate of the Police Academy.

Heather Block, Director of Loss Prevention and Event Management, Loss Prevention, Event Management, Investigations, Operations
Ms. Heather Block is DK's director for Loss Prevention and Event Management. Ms. Block has been employed by DK since 2003 and worked 13 years prior in the retail loss prevention industry. Further, Ms. Block is a highly trained investigator and specializes in surveillance and undercover operations. She is a member of the Michigan Council of Professional Investigators (MCPI). She is a Certified Narcotics K-9 handler and holds a Concealed Weapons Permit.

Nancy Rhodes, Human Resources Manager
Ms. Nancy Rhodes manages daily human resources tasks and also actively participates in the Investigations and Background Screening divisions. Ms. Rhodes has been with DK since 1999 and previous to DK, worked 18 years as a legal secretary. She manages the hiring and recruiting practices of DK as well as all pre-employment background screening and associated reports. She is a member of the National Notary Association and is an invaluable member of DK’s staff with specialized skills in investigative research. |
