DK invests a significant amount of time and money in acquiring high quality and properly fitting uniforms. We maintain high standards on uniform appearance and are adamant that employees be well groomed. The company provides its personnel with original and replacement uniforms and site supervisors and project managers conduct routine post inspections twice monthly to ensure that they are being properly worn and maintained. If an officer receives a failed score in terms of proper attire, the officer will receive a written warning. If the problem persists, the officer is subject to termination.
DK officers wear a consistent uniform prescribed by the client with no ornamentation (specifically, no political buttons, tags, union badges, etc., which are not related to the performance of security work.) Garments will be buttoned, shoes will be polished, and caps will be worn straight/upright. The uniform and related equipment of all officers will be kept neat, clean and in good repair. Winter weight uniforms will be coordinated with the standard duty uniform and during warm temperatures, indoors and outdoors, DK will not roll-up long sleeve shirts. DK officers’ shoes will be dark in color, either black or brown; platforms, high heels or tennis shoes will not be worn on duty. DK will provide “all weather” gear to each location for the use of security officers patrolling an exterior.
Blazers: Security officers may be outfitted with uniforms incorporating a blazer to be worn as the outer garment over the shirt. This uniform will incorporate identifying insignia and name tags. In addition, the attire prescribed in this paragraph is in compliance with Public Act 330 of 1968, as amended.
Male officers must be clean-shaven for duty and not have hair length that extends past their shirt collars or over their ears. Mustaches are allowed provided they are neatly trimmed. Beards and long sideburns are prohibited. Male officers are allowed to wear jewelry such as religious medals, wedding and/or class rings and watches. All other jewelry is prohibited.
Female officers must wear their hair in such a manner that it does not create a hazard. Females are allowed to wear stud-type earrings in addition to religious medals, wedding and/or class rings and watches.
